mime fest
This international festival of mime theater has been held since 2011 in Polička. There is regular participation by ensembles from the Visegrad Group countries, as well as groups from Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Australia. This is a unique platform that fosters cooperation with schools, major institutions in the field of mime art and other festival abroad. Mime Fest is important in the broader European context and creates new opportunities for artists to meet.
The festival program focuses on professional artists and a wide range of forms of mime theater. Another important part of the festival is education – through seminars and workshops led by distinguished figures. These events are intended both for art school students and the public.
The artistic director and dramaturg of the festival is Radim Vizváry.
ARTISTES IN THE STREETS (KOMEDIANTI V ULICÍCH)
This international festival of street theater was initially held in the City of Tábor in 2010. It is one of the few Czech festivals that presents modern street theater in a historically protected city center.
The dramaturgy focuses on trends in contemporary street art both here and abroad. Performances include circus art, clowns, pantomime, puppets, movement theater, interactive performances, workshops and music.
The main sponsor is the City of Tábor. The artistic director and dramaturg of the festival is Radim Vizváry.
